The prestigious Sustainable Bus Award 2026 in the 'Urban' category was awarded to the Solaris Urbino 10,5 electric on the very day of its world premiere. This recognition highlights the vehicle’s innovation and the important role Solaris’ fleet plays in the development of sustainable public transport.
The new Solaris model, Urbino 10,5 electric, claimed the top prize in the prestigious Sustainable Bus Award competition in the “Urban” category. The jury honoured the vehicle for its innovative design and contribution to sustainable transport. This award ceremony was held during Busworld 2025 in Brussels on October 3rd, just a few hours after the vehicle’s official premiere.
Unveiled to the public for the first time on October 3rd during Busworld 2025, the Urbino 10,5 electric expands the manufacturer’s wide zero-emission portfolio. It combines compact dimensions, manoeuvrability, and high passenger capacity.
This marks the second consecutive year that a Solaris vehicle has triumphed in the competition – in 2025, the title was awarded to the Solaris Urbino 12 electric with modular drive.
The Sustainable Bus Award is a prestigious European recognition honouring buses and coaches setting new standards in sustainable transport – both environmentally and socially. This year’s jury once again included representatives from leading industry magazines across Europe.
