The public transport operator in Sfântu Gheorghe is once again investing in the expansion of its zero-emission bus fleet by choosing electric buses from Solaris. The signed contract covers the delivery of 22 electric buses in the second half of 2027.
Solaris has signed a contract with the public transport operator in Sfântu Gheorghe for the delivery of 22 battery-electric buses. Under the agreement, the Romanian operator will receive vehicles in three different lengths: 12 Solaris Urbino 9 LE electric buses, 8 Solaris Urbino 12 electric buses, and 2 articulated Solaris Urbino 18 electric buses. The delivery of the zero-emission vehicles is scheduled for the second half of 2027.
Each ordered Solaris vehicle will be equipped with modern Solaris High Energy batteries. In all vehicles, the batteries will be charged using plug-in chargers.
Solaris is one of the leading suppliers of public transport vehicles in Romania. To date, the manufacturer has delivered more than 850 buses and trolleybuses to the Romanian market, including over 600 fully zero-emission vehicles.
